Students’ Visit to Madhya Pradesh Council of Science and Technology (MPCoST), Bhopal (M.P.)

The department of Electronics Engineering conducted a one-day visit for the students & faculty at the Remote Sensing Application centre and other research laboratories at Madhya Pradesh Council of Science and Technology (MPCoST), Bhopal (M.P.), on 5th December 2023.

The B.Tech final year and pre- final year students of Electronics Engineering department (EC and EI) participated in the visit. The students visited various laboratories like Miniature Nuclear Gallery, Bio-technology lab, Science Center, Remote Sensing Application center etc. and learnt about different technologies involved and applied for the functional applications like GIS. The scientists shared their knowledge and experiences of different research labs at MPCoST. The Science Centre part of the MPCoST provided an excellent opportunity for students to perform hands-on practice on some cutting-edge technologies. Students prepared a portrait using 3-D printing and presented to the lab. During the visit, students could freely explore and understand many technologies and its application.

The visit was a good learning experience to students due to supportive Research Officers and Staff. The Director General of MPCoST Dr. Anil Kothari, citing the plethora of opportunities that will come with technological development, encouraged the students to understand and embrace the technology. The faculty from the department Dr. Neelesh Mehra, Dr. Suchi Mishra, Prof. Bharti Mehra and Prof. Niraj Kumar were present with the students, during the visit. Prof. Bharti Mehra coordinated the visit. 

Two-Week in-House Internship Program on Electronic Circuits Design (10/07/2023 to 21/07/2023)

The two-week in-house internship program on Electronic Circuits Design was organized by the Department of Electronics Engineering from 10/07/2023 to 21/07/2023. In this two-week training program, first year students of various streams were taught all the tricks of making electronic circuits. Students made projects on PCB with both KiCAD system software and hardware, in which traffic light controller, emergency light, mobile charger, water level indicator etc were prominent. During this training, Head of the Department Dr. Ashutosh Datar also took sessions on personal interview and technical subjects. The valedictory programme was held on 21.07.2023 which was graced by Deputy Director Dr. Y. K. Jain and Dean Academic Dr. Jetendra Parashar. Coordinators of this internship were Prof. Abhishek Jain, Prof. Naveen Malviya, Prof. Neeraj Kumar Dhakad and Prof. Aditya Singh Bains.

Two-Week in-House Internship Program on Embedded System Design (15/5/2023 to 26/5/2023)

The two-week in-house internship program on Embedded System Design from 15/5/2023 to 26/5/2023. It was organized by the Department of Electronics Engineering. Students were trained for hardware/software system design using Embedded System Software such as Proteus VSM Design Software, Edsim Simulator Software and Microvision Keel Software. In the Valedictory Program, certificates were awarded to the successful students by the Dean Academic Dr. Jetendra Parashar and the Head of the Department Dr. Ashutosh Datar.

Expert talk on "IP Multimedia Subsystem for next generation" (29/03/2023)

An expert talk was organised on 29th March 2023 at CoE (VI & IoT Lab), 2nd Floor of West Wing by Electronics Department.
The expert talk was delivered online by Ms. Poonam Bhargava (Lead Test Manager, Nokia Ltd.) on the topic "IP Multimedia Subsystem for next generation". She has 14+ years of experience in 5G/IMS in leading telecommunication organizations.
Ms. Bharti Mehra (AP) and Ms. Suchi Mishra (AP) were the coordinators for the event under the guidance of Dr. Ashutosh Datar, HoD, Electronics Department. The program was conducted by Aanya Joshi, EC, Second Year.
 
 

Online Workshop on "Phased Antenna Array for 5G Devices" (22/02/2023)

An Online Workshop on "Phased Antenna Array for 5G Devices" was organized today by Electronics Engineering Department for EC Students. The speaker for the workshop was Mr. Anshul Agarwal, RF Electrical Engineer, Ace Antenna India Pvt. Ltd. Hyderabad.
 
 

Seminar on "Trends and opportunitties in overseas career for engineers" (14.02.2023)

A very interactive seminar on "Trends and opportunitties in overseas career for engineers" was organized by the department of Electronics Engineering on 14.02.2023. The talk was given by Mr. Aditya Jhawar, our proud alumni of EI 1994 Batch. At present, he is the Application Development Manager at Advisor 360, Weston-Massachusetts, USA.
 
 

Expert talk on "Higher studies and career avenues for engineering students in USA: My experiences" (16/11/2022)

A very fruitful expert talk on "Higher studies and career avenues for engineering students in USA: My experiences" was organized by the department of Electronics Engineering on 16.11.2022. The expert talk was given by Dr. Abhijeet Kulkarni, our proud alumni of EI 1989 Batch. At present, he is the Chief Operating Officer at Cellino Biotech, Greater Boston
He brings over 25 years of experience working on innovative solutions spanning the disciplines of neuroscience, engineering, and physics. Prior to joining Cellino, he was the Global Vice President of Research, Development and Technology for Neuromodulation and Pelvic Health, and Head of the Neuromodulation Technology Development Center, at Medtronic, where he led the development of several first-in-class products and therapy solutions. Prior to Medtronic, he was the Global Vice President of Research, Development and Technology for Advanced Bionics and before that served in various roles at Bose Corporation.
