Greetings and warm wishes as we progress through the 2024-25 academic session.
The Department of Humanities continues its long-standing commitment to shaping confident, articulate, and professionally ready engineers. Since our establishment in 1960, we have played a central role in developing the overall personality and communication competence of SATI students. This year, we are taking meaningful strides toward greater career alignment by modernizing our elective courses and strengthening industry linkages in line with current global and accreditation requirements.

- Major Initiatives and Highlights
- New Open Elective Launch We are delighted to introduce “Professional English for Employability” as a specialized open elective for fifth-semester B.Tech students. This course focuses on high-impact communication skills directly relevant to interviews, presentations, workplace emails, group discussions, and corporate etiquette.
- Active Industry Partnership Program In alignment with NAAC/NBA quality parameters, the department has intensified structured collaborations with industry partners. Guest lectures, workshops, mock interviews, and real-world case-study integrations are now regular features of our teaching-learning process.
- Curriculum Enhancement The revised syllabus places strong emphasis on advanced workplace simulations, role-plays, professional writing, verbal & non-verbal communication, and corporate etiquette — all aligned with outcome-based education (OBE) goals.
- Student Achievements and Upcoming Events
- Career Readiness Drive A series of focused sessions on resume building, LinkedIn profile optimization, GD techniques, and interview strategies will be conducted in preparation for the upcoming placement season.
- Certification Workshops Short-term certification programs on Workplace Etiquette & Professional Communication are scheduled for February and March 2025. These will include practical simulations, feedback sessions, and certificates.
- Student Participation Call We encourage all students to actively participate in these initiatives. Your involvement not only strengthens your employability but also contributes to the department’s continuous quality improvement journey.
