| The Department of Computer Science and Engineering at S.A.T.I was established in the year 1987 with an intake of 30 student seats of Bachelor of Engineering in CSE. In the year 2000, the intake of BE CSE program has been increased to 60. After the merger of BE Information Technology with BE CSE the intake has been increased to 120 in the year 2017-2018. Subsequently, in the year 2001, Department started the courses on Master of Technology in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) with the intake of 25. |

| The main objective of establishing the department of Computer Science and Engineering is to promote research and development, industrial consultancy, and teaching in the frontier areas of Information Technology and Information technologies enabled service. The courses offered by us are part of it which prepares young graduates and postgraduates to take state of art challenges as required by the industry and RD organizations. |
