The Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh officially recognized a team of engineering students from Samrat Ashok Technological Institute (SATI), Vidisha for developing the “Raahaveer Vidisha” mobile application. The application was created with the objective of reducing fatalities caused by road accidents and ensuring that victims receive timely assistance during the crucial “Golden Hour.”The initiative reflects the institute’s commitment to applying engineering knowledge for public welfare and social impact.

*𝐆𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐀𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭:*

The application supports the “Raahaveer Scheme” of the Madhya Pradesh government, under which accident victims can receive free treatment up to ₹1.5 lakh, ensuring immediate medical assistance without financial barriers.

*𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭:

Students from the*Computer Science & Engineering and Artificial Intelligence departments developed the entire software platform voluntarily as a community service initiative, demonstrating their commitment to technology-driven social responsibility.

The project was completed under the mentorship of Dr. Sunil Joshi and ASP Prashant Choubey, whose guidance helped the team translate the concept into a functional digital solution for public safety.

Paper Presentation is the Natural Event of an Engineering Institute: MLA Gaurav Pardhi(CSE Alumni) in Technovision -2026

Addressing the inaugural session, Shri Gaurav Singh Pardhi, MLA from Katangi (Balaghat) and an alumnus of SATI, recalled his student days and said that Technovision was first organized when he was a student at the institute in 2002. He mentioned that the event was the result of the dedicated efforts of students and faculty members of that time. Expressing his happiness, he said that he was proud to have been part of the first Technovision and felt honored to return as the Chief Guest for Technovision–2026.

While interacting with students, Shri Pardhi highlighted the growing importance of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and referred to the ongoing AI Summit in New Delhi. He noted that Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has presented a human-centric vision for AI at the summit. He emphasized that paper presentations and technical festivals are the most natural and meaningful activities for any engineering institution. He added that preparing and presenting a research paper helps students gain mastery over a subject, which benefits them both academically and professionally.

Special Awareness Program on “Safer Internet Day”

On the occasion of Safer Internet Day 2026, a special awareness workshop on “Cyber Security and the Safe and Responsible Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI)” was organized at Samrat Ashok Technological Institute (SATI), Vidisha, on February 10, 2026. The program was jointly conducted by the Departments of Computer Science & Engineering and Artificial Intelligence, under the guidance of Centre for Development of Advanced Computing Hyderabad and the Information Security Education and Awareness (ISEA) project of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology. More than 100 students and staff members participated in the event.

Safer Internet Day is celebrated globally on the second Tuesday of February to promote the safe, responsible, and ethical use of the internet and emerging technologies. This year’s theme, “Smart Tech, Safe Choices,” focused on responsible AI usage and digital safety.

In the first session, Dr. Kanak Saxena, Head of the CSE Department, discussed cybercrime, data privacy, phishing attacks, and UPI fraud. She emphasized that hackers often target users’ lack of awareness rather than technology itself. In the second session, Dr. Sunil Joshi, Head of the AI Department, explained practical cyber safety measures, including identifying AI-driven threats such as deepfakes and fake voice calls. Participants also learned about strong password practices, two-factor authentication, privacy settings, and reporting cybercrimes through the 1930 helpline and cybercrime.gov.in.

The program was moderated by Prof. Sumit Dhillon, with a vote of thanks delivered by Prof. Satish Pawar. Senior officials appreciated the initiative and encouraged continued awareness in the digital age.

 

Successful Conduction of National Conference on NCACSIT-2025 by CSE Department

The two-day National Conference on Advanced Computer Science and Information Technology at Samrat Ashok Technological Institute, Vidisha concluded successfully on Friday. The day began with a keynote lecture by Dr. Umesh Banodha of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam University Institute of Technology, Jhabua, who spoke on research fundamentals, ethics, and originality. He highlighted government research grants and stressed plagiarism-free work. Eight technical sessions were held across four tracks where participants presented research papers. Dr. Kanak Saxena delivered a keynote on machine learning. During the valedictory function, certificates were distributed and the organizing team was appreciated for successfully conducting the conference with support from Madhya Pradesh Council of Science and Technology, Bhopal.

A two-day National Conference on Advanced Computer Science and Information Technology was inaugurated at Samrat Ashok Technological Institute, Vidisha, organized by the Computer Science & Engineering and Artificial Intelligence departments with support from Madhya Pradesh Council of Science and Technology, Bhopal. Dr. Sunil Joshi welcomed guests and noted that 50 of 70 submitted papers were shortlisted. Convener Dr. Kanak Saxena stressed honest research and cautioned against plagiarism and excessive AI use. Director Dr. Y.K. Jain praised the organizing team. Keynote speaker Dr. Sandeep Raghuvanshi discussed recommender systems and real-world research impact. Dr. Jitendra Parashar highlighted the role of conferences in promoting research, followed by technical sessions and paper presentations.

Industrial Visit BY Department under BIS : Welspun Corp.

 

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering and the Department of Artificial Intelligence in collaboration with the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), Bhopal, organized an Industry Exposure Visit. Under this initiative, an industry visit was conducted on September 9, 2025, at Welspun Corp Limited, Jamunia village industrial area, Raisen district.

Around 40 students from the Computer Science & Engineering, Blockchain Technology, and AIADS branches participated in this visit. They were accompanied by faculty coordinators Prof. Mukesh Azad and Prof. Garima Jain. The purpose of the visit was to provide students with insights into Industry 4.0 and the industrial applications of Indian Standards.

During the visit, students gained firsthand exposure to the latest technologies adopted by industries and the implementation of Indian Standards at Welspun Corporation. They also learned how Industry 4.0 practices are integrated into real-world industrial operations.

On behalf of the CSE and AI Departments, the visit was coordinated by Dr. Sunil Joshi, who expressed gratitude to Welspun Corporation for their support. He emphasized that such visits give students a unique opportunity to experience live industrial environments and understand the practical applications of Industry 4.0 alongside Indian Standards.

The program was coordinated by Dr. Sunil Joshi, Prof. Mukesh Azad, and Prof. Garima Jain, under the guidance of Dr. Kanak Saxena, Head of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering and mentor of the BIS CSE Club. 

Dr. Laxmikant Markhedkar, Secretary, MJES, and Dr. Y. K. Jain, Director of SATI, appreciated this initiative. They stated that such programs significantly enhance students’ industry exposure and motivation for learning. They congratulated the CSE and AI Departments for successfully organizing the event and extended their gratitude to BIS, Bhopal, and the collaborating industries for their valuable support.

Dr. Kanak Saxena, Head of the Department of Computer Science, advised students to remain confident and avoid shortcuts in life. She cautioned them not to rely solely on Google, ChatGPT, or AI for solutions, but to develop the habit of solving problems independently. “Our endeavor is to ensure that you become not just users, but creators and developers. Compete only with yourself and strive to improve every day,” she remarked.

CSE SATI Conducted Phase I Evaluation of MSME Idea Hackathone 5.0

Samrat Ashok Technological Institute, Vidisha successfully conducted the phase I evaluation of MSME Idea Hackathon 5.0.

Selected participants are forwarded to next round selection and getting funding opportunities from MoMSME GoI. In the event, 16 innovative ideas are received and presented by the participating MSME/Students/Others.

Institute Director Dr. Y. K. Jain and Secretary Dr. Laxmikant Markhedkar congratulates the students for their efforts towards finding the solutions to benefit the society. Evaluation committee members Dr. Kanak Saxena, Dr. Sandeep Raghuwanshi, Dr. Sunil Joshi and Dr. Monika Jain analysed the presented projects and suggested technical updation for their success.

SATI CSE Organized Major Project Poster Presentation

Innovation and creativity were showcased during the Major Project Poster Presentation organized by the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Samrat Ashok Technological Institute, Vidisha on April 29, 2025. Final-year B.Tech students from CSE and ICB streams presented posters highlighting innovative projects addressing real-world problems. Many projects had previously been presented at hackathons and demonstrated technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things, real-time data processing, and innovation-driven design. The event formed part of the farewell celebration for the 2021–2025 batch, allowing students to reflect on their four-year academic journey. It was coordinated by Dr. Sunil Joshi, Prof. Mukesh Azad, and Prof. Garima Jain under the guidance of Dr. Kanak Saxena. Director Dr. Y. K. Jain and Secretary Dr. Laxmikant Markhedkar appreciated the initiative, noting that such activities enhance students’ technical skills, industry exposure, and motivation for future careers.

CSE SATI Students Promoted BIS on Consumer Rights Day

SATI CSE students, as "BIS Manak Mitra," conducteda BIS awareness campaign in Vidisha government offices on World Consumer Rights Day 2025. They shared info on the BIS Care App and standards. Coordinated by Dr. Sunil Joshi and Dr. Kanak Saxena, the initiative gave students practical experience. SATI Director and Board Secretary praised the program for boosting student skills and BIS awareness,

 

 

CSE SATI Students Explore Industry 4.0 and Indian Standards Through Exposure Visit

The Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) Department at SATI, Vidisha, in partnership with the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), Bhopal, organized an Industry Exposure Visit to offer students valuable insights into Industry 4.0 and Indian Standards. This initiative was part of the BIS Club, established following an MoU between SATI and BIS, Bhopal.
On February 28, 2025, a group of 45 students from the CSE and Blockchain Technology branches visited Welspun Corp Ltd. in the Industrial Area of Jamunia Village, District Raisen. The visit, led by Department Coordinators Dr. Sunil Joshi and Prof. Mukesh Azad, aimed to introduce students to the practical applications of Industry 4.0 technologies and how Indian Standards are implemented in industrial manufacturing processes.
The event was organized by Dr. Sunil Joshi, Prof. Mukesh Azad, and Prof. Garima Jain, with guidance from Dr. Kanak Saxena, the Head of the Department and BIS CSE Club Mentor. Dr. Saxena has been dedicated to bridging the gap between classroom learning and real-world experiences, fostering both the academic and professional development of students.

 

 
 
 
 
 

Ideation Workshop Organized From 24 Feb 2025 to 26 Feb 2025

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering at SATI, Vidisha, in collaboration with the AICTE IDEA Lab, organized a successful "Ideation Workshop" aimed at fostering creativity and technological awareness among students. The workshop attracted over 160 B.Tech and MCA students, providing them with valuable insights into emerging technologies.
The event began with a technical session led by Dr. Sandeep Raghuvanshi, a renowned Data Scientist from Synchron, Bengaluru. He delivered a detailed lecture on future technologies, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT), Cybersecurity, Web Development, and Software Engineering, emphasizing the necessary skills and resources to master these fields.
Following the session, the "Technical Rangoli Competition" was launched by Dr. Kanak Saxena, Head of the Department. Seven groups participated, showcasing their innovative ideas through digital rangolis. This activity promoted creativity, problem-solving, and innovation among students.
The event, coordinated by Dr. Sunil Joshi and Prof. Sumeet Dhillon, also featured a notable idea presented by faculty members, under the mentorship of Dr. Kanak  Saxena, emphasizing the importance of independent thinking over reliance on AI-generated content.

Technovision-25 Paper Presentation on 21/02/2025

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering at SATI, Vidisha, organized a paper presentation event titled "TechnoVision-25" to showcase the innovative ideas and research work of its students. The event aimed to foster creativity, critical thinking, and research skills among B.Tech students. Participants presented research papers on various emerging technologies, including Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Cybersecurity, IoT, and Software Engineering.
Each presentation was evaluated based on its originality, technical depth, and the ability to communicate complex concepts effectively. The event provided students with a platform to share their knowledge, enhance their presentation skills, and engage in insightful discussions with faculty members and peers.
TechnoVision-25 was a significant step in encouraging students to stay ahead of technological advancements while refining their academic research. It helped nurture a culture of innovation, preparing students for future challenges in the rapidly evolving field of computer science and engineering

Idea-Lab Meet with Entrepreneur for Student Guidance in Conference Hall on 21 Feb 2025

An "Idea-Lab Meet with Entrepreneurs" for student guidance is an event aimed at helping students explore the world of entrepreneurship. It brings together successful entrepreneurs and industry experts to share their experiences, offer advice, and mentor students. The event includes workshops, interactive sessions, and pitch opportunities where students can present their ideas and receive constructive feedback. It provides a platform for students to learn about starting a business, securing funding, and overcoming challenges. Through networking and mentorship, students gain valuable insights and guidance, helping them turn their entrepreneurial aspirations into actionable plans for the future. 

Awareness Workshop on "Safe Internet Day" on 11 Feb 2025

On 11th February 2025, the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Samrat Ashok Technological Institute (SATI), Vidisha, organized an awareness workshop on Safe Internet Day. Sponsored by C-DAC Hyderabad and conducted under the ISEA project by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India, the workshop aimed to promote safe and responsible internet use, especially among youth, women, and children. More than 100 students and staff members participated in this insightful event.
The workshop featured two key sessions. The first, led by Dr. Kanak Saxena, focused on understanding cyber crime and prevention strategies. She discussed the importance of cybersecurity practices like using strong passwords, keeping devices updated, and enabling two-factor authentication. Dr. Saxena emphasized that hackers often exploit human vulnerabilities through social engineering tactics.
The second session, led by Dr. Sunil Joshi, provided technical insights into securing digital privacy. He covered topics such as cookies, app permissions, and managing password settings to protect user data.
The event concluded with positive feedback from participants who expressed appreciation for the valuable information shared. Dr. Laxmikant Markhedkar and Dr. Y.K. Jain highlighted the importance of cybersecurity awareness in today’s digital age. The workshop successfully equipped participants with essential knowledge to stay safe online.

The Computer Science and Engineering Department at SATI organized a seminar on cyber awareness, emphasizing the dangers of online crimes such as phishing, malware, and internet banking fraud. Dr. Kanak Saxena, Head of the Department, advised participants to remain vigilant, avoid oversharing personal information, and adopt protective measures like creating strong passwords, using two-factor authentication, and updating software. Dr. Sunil Joshi shared real-life cases and practical safety tips. The seminar, attended by HoDs, faculty, staff, and students, provided crucial insights on preventing cyber threats and offered immediate steps to take if one becomes a victim of cyber fraud.
 

Alumni Meet :Mr. Vipin Goyal and Dr. Umesh Kumar Singh on 10 Sep 2024

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Samrat Ashok Technological Institute (SATI) recently welcomed two distinguished alumni, Mr. Vipin Goyal and Dr. Umesh Kumar Singh, who graduated from the MCA program in 1994. After nearly 30 years, both returned to their alma mater, bringing with them their families and decades of experience.
The visit was marked by a warm reception, with the Head of the Department, Dr. Kanak Saxena, along with the professors and staff, greeting the alumni with a Tulsi plant—a symbol of growth and prosperity. During the event, both Mr. Goyal and Dr. Singh emphasized the irreplaceable value of classroom teaching and book learning in the face of the digital age. They highlighted that while online resources are abundant, the depth and retention of knowledge gained from traditional methods will always have lasting importance.
