Lab : Dynamics of Machines Laboratory | |
Lab is facilitated with working models and small test rigs to demonstrate principles of kinematics of machine. The lab also provided with models to learn basic linkage system, inversions, gear law, gear mechanism, balancing etc. Equipment : Measurement of Torque and its verification with the help of epicyclical gear train apparatus. Measurement of corollis component of acceleration Measurement of whirling speed of different shafts. Study of cams and followers. Draw cam profile for different types of followers. Study of gyroscopic motion and calculate gyroscopic couple for rotating disc. To verify theoretically and experimentally pressure distribution with the help of bearing Apparatus Study the balancing of rotating masses in different planes with the help of dynamic balancing machine Study of various first order vibration systems with the of universal vibration machine. |

Refrigeration and Air-conditioning being a mandatory subject in the BE final year mechanical engineering, a separate laboratory has been set up to provide necessary practical exposure to the final year mechanical engineering students. Basic elementary experiments are also performed for BE first year and second year students as part of their subjects.
